I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2009 with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a minor in Dance. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work in 2017, which provided me with a psychodynamic, social justice-informed foundation.  My thesis focused on examining clinicians’ attitudes on somatic interventions for treating trauma and the benefits of a “bottom-up” approach in trauma work.  I am currently pursuing my CCTP (Certified Clinical Trauma Professional) certification.

I have worked in a variety of clinical settings and consequently have had the opportunity to work with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns. I began at a community-based center in Greenfield, Massachusetts that focused on crisis intervention and helping adults with severe mental illness re-integrate into their communities. I later interned at the Atlanta VA’s Trauma Recovery Program where I worked with veterans seeking relief from a range of trauma symptoms.

Prior to joining WholeHeart Psychotherapy, I practiced as a Primary Therapist at Foundations Recovery Network for two years, both in inpatient and intensive outpatient settings. There, I gained invaluable experience working with individuals struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health problems, including anxiety, depression, and trauma disorders.

I wish to provide you with support, skills, and compassion that will support your growth. I believe the therapeutic process should be a collaboration between therapist and client. I am here to help you recognize your strengths and to get in touch with your inner wisdom through fostering self-awareness and confidence.
