Caroline Bria is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Georgia and Alabama (providing Telehealth services for those based in Alabama). After receiving her Bachelor’s degrees at The University of Georgia, she attended Auburn University for her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Caroline has specialized training in and enjoys working with premarital, marital, family and relational dynamics. Caroline’s expertise is in sexual and intimacy issues, sexual anxiety, conflict, communication, infidelity, boundary setting, emotional disengagement, and dissolution of relationships. Caroline is also passionate about women’s health issues, chronic disease, chronic pain, and helping clients navigate this in their relationships. Additional interests of Caroline’s include working with those navigating adjustment disorders (e.g., major life transitions such as moving, loss of relationship, engagement, marriage, growing a family, job loss/transition, etc.).
Caroline uses a collaborative, integrative approach to tailor therapeutic techniques to fit your unique needs and personality. Caroline’s authentic personality, humor, and direct communication enhances the therapeutic rapport. She is an ally to the LGBTQ+ community and her goal is to offer a safe space for you to navigate life challenges as she operates from a judgement-free, culturally sensitive lens. Caroline’s joy in being a therapist stems from the journey of moving through change with clients, helping them feel more connected, secure, and confident in their lives and relationships.
Caroline firmly believes that continuing education as a mental health and relationship specialist is imperative to her success with her clients and their therapeutic outcomes. Caroline is currently under the supervision of Erika Pluhar PhD, EdS, CST-S and Angela Culbreth MS, LPC working to become a Sex Therapist. Caroline is also dedicating time to become a Certified Gottman Therapist.
In her free time, Caroline is often hustling to keep up with her two young, spirited children. She finds time with her family in the northeast Georgia mountains (where she was born and raised) as essential to her health and well-being. Her hobbies of cooking, traveling, singing, dancing, reading and caring for her house plants are crucial in her own self-care and she dedicates time to this part of her life in order to show up as the best therapist for you.
