About WholeHeart Psychotherapy

Helping Atlanta Heal For Over 10 Years

Our Story

WholeHeart came into being in 2013 after we had been in a consultation group together for 6 years. We both had robust, successful private practices in our own specialty areas and respected each other’s clinical, teaching and supervisory work immensely. We had similar visions for growing a group practice that would focus on delivering high quality mental health care across a spectrum of needs. So, being on the cusp of growth at the same time, we held hands and leapt together by renting our first space and starting WholeHeart Psychotherapy.
Since the beginning, WholeHeart Psychotherapy has been a place of personal and professional evolution for us. We have continued to expand into more areas of practice and now offer a wide array of services to the general public and therapists alike. WholeHeart regularly is developing new groups and continuing education courses, and helping our professionals move into different areas of leadership. We both love mentoring our therapists as they develop their practices, and are proud of the work we all do to provide excellent mental health care. At its core, WholeHeart is about lifelong learning — thus, you can always find us reading books and research articles, listening to podcasts, training in new therapeutic methods, participating in our professional associations, collaborating with our peers, and engaging in our own personal growth. We are excited to see where this adventure takes us as we and our associates follow our passions!

WholeHeart Psychotherapy upholds policies of nondiscrimination and unbiased access to services based on age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, and expression, sexual orientation, relationship structure, ability, and religious affiliation. As a mental health services organization, we recognize the wide-reaching, devastating systematic effects of racism, white supremacy, as well as other forms of discrimination and human rights violation. WholeHeart Psychotherapy is committed to the pursuit of equality and justice within our practice, for our clients, and for the community as a whole. As clinicians, we engage in an on-going process of self-reflection as well as a commitment to social justice policies and actions.

Whole Heart Psychotherapy is an incredible practice of knowledgeable, compassionate, and ethical clinicians. As a therapist myself, it is important to establish relationships with other groups for networking, consultation, and collaborative purposes. I truly appreciate that I can trust the clinicians of Whole Heart to provide effective treatment to clients that I refer to their services. I also am grateful for the professional consultation and collaboration that is provided when working with shared cases or when seeking feedback. Whole Heart and its staff are always on my list of providers for outside referrals.

As a therapist, I feel very fortunate to have WholeHeart Psychotherapy as a resource. I have never once hesitated to refer to the practice, and have heard nothing but positive feedback from those I have referred. I have personally participated in professional consultation and DBT groups at Wholeheart over the the years, and can't speak highly enough of the experience.
