Jolia Alexander is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has been practicing for over 5 years. Jolia earned her Master of Education in Marriage and Family Counseling and her Specialist in Education in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL.
Growing up in a divorced home has instilled in Jolia a profound understanding of the importance of effective communication in relationships. Drawing from this experience, Jolia establishes a strong rapport with her clients, fostering a non- judgmental environment where they feel truly heard and understood. She utilizes an integrative approach, seamlessly blending various therapeutic modalities to meet her clients’ unique needs. These modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).
In her work with couples, Jolia’s approach is enriched by her training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1 & 2), allowing her to guide partners towards deeper connection and understanding. Additionally, Jolia holds certifications as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), a Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy Professional (CDBT), and a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP). With this extensive training and expertise, Jolia is dedicated to empowering her clients to navigate life’s challenges and cultivate fulfilling relationships.

Being raised in a divorced home has contributed to Jolia upholding effective communication as a foundational need for a successful relationship. Jolia utilizes this foundation to build rapport with clients and to create a non-judgmental space to meet clients where they are.
